Alpha Mu Chapter | Auburn University

Chapter Philanthropy

Hey y’all and welcome to Phi Mu’s Philanthropy page! I can’t wait to meet every one of you and tell you about our philanthropy.

In August of 2015, I accepted my bid and was privileged to be a Phi Mu at Auburn University. To me, coming out of state from Virginia this meant friendship. Most importantly it meant serving with my sisters to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. All of the money we raise throughout the year is donated directly, 45 minutes down the road, to the Children’s Hospital in the Midtown Medical Center at Columbus Regional Health. What’s unique about our Auburn Chapter of Phi Mu, is that we receive the opportunity to give back locally and really see the impact made each year in the Columbus community. We love visiting the children at the hospital, and we try to make visits each month throughout the year. Our visits with the children serve as a great reminder of the main purpose of our Phi Mu Chapter.

Last January, I was elected to serve as the Chapter’s Philanthropy Chair, and I was so excited to  accept the position. I’m could not wait to get the opportunity to lead our members in touching so many lives. This past Spring we hosted Nu Mu BBQ with Sigma Nu Fraternity, and every Fall we hold an annual golf tournament at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. I’m planning a crawfish broil at a local Auburn restaurant as our event for Spring 2017. For the Fall event I hope to have our golf tournament over our Parent’s Weekend, September 15-17, at the Auburn Country Club Golf Course, along with a brunch, and on campus tailgate. Other campus involvement consists of a carnival for a local Auburn organization, Project Uplift, which assists underprivileged children in the community. We also largely participate with Auburn University’s Dance Marathon organization, which also supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

I am so honored and privileged to serve as this year's Philanthropy Chair, and I have so many ideas to grow in our abilities in benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. My goal is to instill in others a passion of service so that we can continue helping through every way possible. I also hope to plan more events to make more money to donate for these children then we ever have before! I want our chapter to be the best chapter.

For the kids,

Bentley Logue

Philanthropy Chair
